Established in 2010 as a church plant out of Bethlehem Baptist Church in the eastern suburbs of the Twin Cities. They began meeting on Sunday evenings at Central Park in the heart of Woodbury before relocating a year and a half later and began meeting on Sunday mornings. Christ Redeemer Church transitioned to Life Groups in 2014 to cultivate a richer, life-on-life fellowship in our church and a more robust, missional traction in our community.
They experienced significant growth over the next few years, doubling in size to an average Sunday attendance of over 300 people (2019), necessitating a move to East Ridge High School
The Plan
Christ Redeemer had a plan to move to a new facility. They had a goal of raising $840,000 to make this move possible. Through our financial analysis we projected that meant we’d need roughly 81 participants.
Challenges
(2019) Campaign paused during transition to high school facility; scheduled to re-engage early 2020
(2020) Campaign pause extended during COVID. Lost their meeting facility (public school, shut down due to pandemic). Launched on-line Fully Funded Church program for remainder of the year to prepare for their reopening.
(2021) Campaign re-started – February; Commitment Event – October
Spiritual Miracles and Results
Numerous online prayer sessions together as we worked through the challenges – both personal and church-wide
(October 2021) Anonymous donor announced matching gift of up to $500k
In total raised $1,788,095 over 3 years (2.6 times their regular giving)
