David Walters

Reverend David Walters is native of Atlanta, GA, husband to Elizabeth, father to Laney, Brayden, Carley, and Cade, and a pastor in the local church for 26 years. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor at 5,200+ member Alpharetta First United Methodist Church. Prior to pastoring AFUMC, he started The Vine Church in 2007, which became a multisite church in 2015 under his leadership.

During his time as a pastor, he has served as a consultant for Injoy Stewardship Solutions, The Rocket Company, FaithSearch Partners, and The North Georgia Conference of the UMC for New Church Development. His passion is leading and coaching leaders, maximizing the potential of the local church, and serving the greater Church. His hobbies include reading, blogging, crossfitting, and his kids’ hobbies.
