Monte Bartlett

Monte’s experience in both the business world and various church ministries make him uniquely equipped for service with ISS.  “I feel that God has taken the gifts and experience He gave me in the business world, along with the gifts and experience of serving as a pastor and woven them into a combination to serve many churches as they move forward making an impact for the Kingdom.”  Although God has so blessed him financially that he is able to retire, Monte prefers to continue working so that he can “make a difference for the kingdom of God”. Co-workers say one of his greatest assets is the ability to build genuine relationships as he leads pastors and churches as well as solving the complex problems the church may face in today’s environment.

Monte has received his doctorate in Theology.  In ministry he has served in many capacities, such as teaching and directing Sunday School programs and care groups, and serving at various times as a deacon, elder, board member, discipleship & small groups Pastor, Executive Pastor as well as Senior Pastor.  Monte’s business experience has also included such various positions as sales, management and owning his own company, as well as 6 years in law enforcement.

Monte has been on staff with ISS for over 25 years, serving in the role as Executive Director of Followthru, consultant, and Financial Analyst, working with churches of all sizes, which has allowed him to partner with some of the largest churches in America.

Monte and Sherry have three children and six grandchildren. Monte enjoys fishing, disciplining men in the local church, and spending time at his home on the Atlantic Ocean, where they now reside.
